Best Home Golf Simulator Build for $15,000-20,000
Short answer: These builds run from $17,494 if you already own a PC that meets the specs to $19,698 with a new PC included. The cheapest is the Trackman iO SwingBay package at $17,494, plus a PC if you don't have one. Next is the Foresight SIM IN A BOX Custom with a GCQuad at $17,999, also plus a PC. For most golfers in this range, we'd pick the Uneekor EYE XO2 SwingBay package plus a Uneekor-sold PC, $19,698 before software. It's the only build here that lands inside the range with a new PC, and the EYE XO2 mounts on the ceiling, so there's nothing on the floor. This is the tier for golfers who'll be in the bay most nights working on their game, not just playing a weekend round.
What the step up from $10,000-15,000 gets you: Based on manufacturer specs, this tier is about the flagship launch monitors: Trackman's iO, Foresight's GCQuad and Uneekor's EYE XO2. Two of the three mount on the ceiling. Compared with our $10,000-15,000 builds, you're mostly paying for the launch monitor, since the enclosures and projectors are similar.
All prices below were checked on manufacturer or retailer pages on October 22, 2026. Prices change often, especially during sales, so click through before you buy. Every room spec is based on manufacturer specs. We haven't tested these builds hands-on.
Before you pick a build, check your room. The two overhead builds need a ceiling of roughly 9-10 ft or more, and Foresight recommends about 10 ft in general for Build 3. Our ceiling height guide and launch monitor space guide cover the details. If your ceiling is low, start with our basement low-ceiling guide.

Build 1: Uneekor EYE XO2 SwingBay plus PC ($19,698)
| Part | Product | Price (Oct 22, 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Launch monitor, enclosure, screen, mat, projector, mount | Rain or Shine Uneekor EYE XO2 SwingBay, 8' x 10.5' enclosure, triple-layer screen, 5' x 5' SwingTurf mat | $14,999.00 (listed regular $16,526.00) |
| PC | Uneekor SurfThing Premium Level Desktop (Intel Core Ultra 7 265F, RTX 5080 16GB, 32GB DDR5, 2TB SSD, Windows 11 Home) | $4,699.00 |
| Total | $19,698.00 |
Rain or Shine says the package includes the EYE XO2, 2 Swing Optix cameras, the SwingBay enclosure, the impact screen, a laser short-throw projector, a projector mount, the SwingTurf mat, a 25' HDMI cable, and the EYE XO2's PoE injector, CAT6 cables and bracket hardware. A Windows PC is required but not included. Rain or Shine doesn't name the projector model on this package page. The 9' x 12' version with the triple-layer screen and 5' x 5' mat is $15,999, which would put this build at $20,698.
How you'd use it: Tee up any ball, play a round, and watch your swing on the two Swing Optix cameras between shots.
Who this fits: Golfers with a 10 ft ceiling who want a ceiling-mounted unit and a complete new setup without going over $20,000.
Why this PC: Uneekor's EYE XO2 page lists an Intel Core i7 (12th Gen or later) or Ryzen 7 5000 or later, 32 GB of RAM, an RTX 4070 Ti or equivalent, 16 GB of graphics memory (VIEW plus AI Trainer only) and 2 dedicated Ethernet ports. Those are the same specs as the EYE XR in our $10,000-15,000 guide, where we explain why the SurfThing Premium fits. The short version: it has a Core Ultra 7 and an RTX 5080 with 16GB, and SurfThing's listing says a second Ethernet card is installed.
Room size, based on manufacturer specs: Uneekor recommends at least 13 ft wide x 16 ft deep x 10 ft high. Uneekor lists the hitting zone at 28" L x 21" W. Rain or Shine says the EYE XO2 needs a 9-10 ft ceiling above the mat and lists the SwingBay at about 11' wide x 15' deep. Go by Uneekor's room size, since it's the bigger number.
Where it mounts: Uneekor says the EYE XO2 is "front-mounted overhead on the ceiling in front [of] the golfer." Rain or Shine's package page says both "above and behind the golfer" and "in front of the ball." We went with Uneekor's description.
Yearly software: Rain or Shine lists a 3-month Ultimate trial. After that, Uneekor's membership page lists Player at $0, Pro at $199/yr, Champion at $399/yr and Ultimate at $599/yr. Rain or Shine says all 24 data points come with the free Player tier.
Build 2: Trackman iO SwingBay ($17,494 plus your PC)
| Part | Product | Price (Oct 22, 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Launch monitor, enclosure, screen, mat, projector, mount | Rain or Shine Trackman iO SwingBay, Home software tier, 8' x 10.5' enclosure, single-layer screen, 5' x 5' SwingTurf mat | $17,494.00 (listed regular $19,021.00) |
| PC | Your own, or one that meets Trackman's specs below | Not included |
| Total | $17,494.00 plus PC |
Rain or Shine says the package includes the iO, the SwingBay enclosure with impact screen and side netting, a SwingTurf mat, a 4,000-lumen short-throw laser projector, your choice of floor enclosure or ceiling projector mount, and a 25' HDMI cable. It also includes the first year of Trackman Performance Studio. The triple-layer screen is $17,994. On Rain or Shine's Trackman iO SwingBay page, the 9' x 12' version with the Home tier and a 5' x 5' mat is $18,494 single-layer and $18,994 triple-layer. The Home Complete tier starts at $27,494, well above this range.
How you'd use it: Play one of the 60 courses on Trackman's software with nothing on the floor between you and the screen.
Who this fits: Golfers who already own a capable Windows PC with two Ethernet ports and want Trackman.
The PC: Rain or Shine lists Trackman's recommended specs as Windows 10 64-bit, an Intel i7 or i9 at 3.4 GHz or faster, 32 GB of RAM, an RTX 4070 Ti, a 1 TB SSD and two 1 Gbit Ethernet ports. We didn't find a PC that fit both those specs and this budget. Adding the $4,699 SurfThing Premium from Build 1 would bring the total to $22,193. Its Intel chip is a Core Ultra 7, and Trackman's list names i7 or i9, so check with Trackman before you buy it.
Room size, based on manufacturer specs: Trackman's tech specs recommend at least 15 ft wide, 18 ft deep and 10 ft high, with at least 8 ft 2 in from screen to ball. Trackman's iO setup article gives a minimum room height of 9 ft 4 in, and its mounting specs list a low calibration range of 8 ft 10 in to 9 ft 6 in. Rain or Shine says the iO needs 9.5 to 10 ft at the mounting position and lists the package footprint at 11'W x 15'D x 8.1'H. The sources don't agree, so go by Trackman's own numbers and ask Rain or Shine before you order.
Yearly software: Rain or Shine says the first year is included, then Home Solution is $700/yr and Home Complete is $1,100/yr.
Build 3: Foresight SIM IN A BOX Custom with GCQuad ($17,999 plus your PC)
| Part | Product | Price (Oct 22, 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Launch monitor, enclosure, screen, mat, turf, projector, cart | Foresight SIM IN A BOX Custom, GCQuad, 11-13 ft frame, no frame extension | $17,999.00 |
| PC (optional) | Shop Indoor Golf 4K RTX5080 Premium Golf Simulator Desktop (Intel Core Ultra 7 270K, RTX 5080, 32GB DDR5, 1TB NVMe) | $3,199.99 |
| Total | $17,999.00 with your own PC, $21,198.99 with this one |
With the new PC, this build runs $1,198.99 over the range. Foresight says the package includes the launch monitor, an enclosure with hitting screen, a hitting mat and turf, a computer cart and a projector, but no PC. The optional frame extension adds $3,000 and raises the GCQuad version to $20,999.
How you'd use it: Set the GCQuad beside the mat, play a round, and check the club data Foresight's GCQuad page lists, like club path, face angle, angle of attack and impact location, after each shot.
Who this fits: Golfers who want a flagship launch monitor without mounting anything on the ceiling, especially those who already own a PC.
Why this PC: It's the same PC we picked for the GC3 build in our $10,000-15,000 guide, checked against Foresight's recommended specs on the product page. Its listing doesn't name the operating system or the RTX 5080's memory, so confirm both before you buy.
Room size, based on manufacturer specs: Foresight lists the standard frame at 11-13 ft wide, 5 ft enclosure depth, 16 ft full depth including the projector, and 8'7"-8'10" tall. The GCQuad user guide says to set the unit about 22 in from the hitting area. Foresight's buyer's guide recommends at least a 10 ft ceiling in general, with 9 ft workable for some setups. We couldn't find a GCQuad-specific ceiling spec.
Projector throw: Foresight doesn't name the projector model or its throw ratio on the product page.
Yearly software: The Foresight+ pricing page lists Free at $0, Silver at $199/yr and Gold at $599/yr. Course Pass is $295/yr and Course Pass Pro is $595/yr. New devices come with a 30-day trial that converts to paid unless you cancel.
Recurring costs side by side
| Software | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Uneekor Player / Pro / Champion / Ultimate | $0 / $199 / $399 / $599 per yr | 3 months of Ultimate included with Build 1 |
| Trackman Home Solution / Home Complete | $700 / $1,100 per yr | First year included |
| Foresight+ Free / Silver / Gold | $0 / $199 / $599 per yr | Third-party software needs Gold |
| Foresight Course Pass / Pro | $295 / $595 per yr | Needs Silver or Gold |
Hidden costs to budget for
- The PC: All three builds need one, and both Uneekor and Trackman call for two Ethernet ports.
- Bigger enclosure sizes: The 9x12 SwingBay adds $1,000 over the 8x10.5 in both Rain or Shine packages.
- Trackman after year one: $700/yr for Home Solution.
- Sales tax and shipping: None of the totals include them.
Which build should you pick?
- Pick Build 1 (Uneekor EYE XO2) if you have a 10 ft ceiling and want a complete new setup, PC included, under $20,000.
- Pick Build 2 (Trackman iO) if you already own a PC that meets Trackman's specs and your room meets Trackman's numbers.
- Pick Build 3 (Foresight GCQuad) if you'd rather not mount on the ceiling and you already have a PC. Foresight still recommends about 10 ft in general.
